Nature & color theory

I worked all day @ Seagull. Afterwards, Kaiya & I went and became environmentalists for awhile. We went and picked up 3 bags of garbage from around Jims new shop. Then we went and treated ourselves to new mascaras after. : )

“In nature there are neither rewards nor punishments, there are consequences” Robert G. Ingersoll

There are consequences to every action we take. Some are positive, some are negative. Every action has an effect on our lives and the lives of others. Our actions are far reaching and so are their consequences. Our personal happiness and progress is reliant on taking positive actions.

We take on the energies of people who are around us. It’s important and beneficial to surround yourself with positive people.
When we have sex with someone I believe we actually take on a part of their spirit. For instance, say I’m red and my partner is yellow, we would both become orangish. If my partner was blue we would both become purplish. However if my partner was green then we would both become mud.. , which is bad.. unless you like being mud.
Hmm ..or maybe only one of us would change if the other was really strong. ..well, it works in color theory. If I was a really strong red & came across just a little green.. then I wouldn’t change very much but the green would. If the green was very strong and the red was weak.. then vice versa.. get it? If it works in nature one place it’ll work in another place.. nature is like that, very consistent with its laws.

Conversations with God, Book 2, Chapter 13

I tried on a dress today that a friend saw in a store window & told me I HAD to have. I went to see it & it was incredible, backless, full length, an almost velvet stretchy material with a pattern of very deep, dark red roses. It was perfect except for the front cleavage, which was an inch or two too low. But it was custom made and another could be made just for me.. if the perfect opportunity shows up. But regardless of if I actually ever wear it again or not, I was so glad I tried it on, It’s so me! & now it will live with me forever. ; ) Thanx.

forgiveness & rose oil

I made a mental note this morning to note how everyone talked and acted towards me.. just as an experiment and to look at it as a reflection of how I treat others. It was an interesting experiment & I was very happy with the results. It was almost as if everyone knew & was incredibly nice to me. It made me very happy. : )

I have been big on essential oils, esp. since last summer when I went home to NB. My mom had gotten very into it, as had my sister in law, Judith, previously. Judith died while I was there on vacation, I was so fortunate to have been able to be there with her, my brother & a few very close friends of hers when she died. After this, I wore a blend called Forgiveness (by Young Living) all the time. You know when something is just drawn to you? I kept hearing forgiveness everywhere when deciding which one to get. It was almost like a message from her. It contains: Melissa, geranium, frankincense, rosewood, sandalwood, angelica, lavender, lemon, jasmine, roman chamomile, bergamot, ylang-ylang, palmarosa, helichrysum and rose. Its quite a combination & it’s still my favorite.

- I have a strong memory of Randy putting rose oil on Judiths pillow in the hospital.

I am going through a lot in my life, but find myself for the most part with an overlying feeling of optimism and peace which I attribute to rawness, esp eating lots of leafy greens, essential oils and through these & other ways raising my vibrational frequency. ; ) lol - I didn’t mean it like that.

The Little Prince

My friend was talking last week about matters of consequence. She described me as being a matter of consequence to another person. Maybe I was, hopefully I am. But what I am getting to is that it led me to a book - and it seems I am one of the few people on the planet who has not read it. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery. It’s a very easy to read 100ish page children’s book which is very deep because it explores the secrets of what is really important in life.. reflections on what are real matters of consequence.
- one of my favorite parts is at the beginning when he draws an elephant inside a boa constrictor and shows a grown up & he thinks it’s a hat (they usually do) he says “grownups never understand anything by themselves and it is tiresome for children always to be explaining things to them” Then he says whenever he meets any grownup who seems at all clear-sighted he shows him the picture.. but if they say it’s a hat “Then I would never talk to that person about boa constrictors, or primeval forests, or stars. I would bring myself down to his level. I would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties. And the grown-up would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man”

Was such a good book! ..enjoyed it thoroughly, Thanx for pointing it out & lending it to me. Appreciate u lots!

Rooted in energetic Carnival Dreams

I dreamt last night of being at a carnival with my mom & we were ordering pizzas, hers was pepperoni, strange cause she’s been a long-time vegetarian, mine was cheese.. lots to it but the main thing was the guy who owned the pizza company, we talked & talked, had so much in common, we were like the same, all these things.. and then it got sexual. & there’s lots & lots more ..But the main thing is how strong the dream was, its interesting how some dreams just haunt you for a long time after.

A Good friend of mine gave me very good advice today. It seems common sense but I had never thought of it like this before. He told me it’s important to know where you stand. This is what you own. Have your priorities clear. Know what things are important to you- things that you will protect and support. For me its: my family, my art, my raw lifestyle, my spirituality, and exercise. These things form the core of who I am, they keep me rooted.
The advice came because I was upset about a peripheral thing.. but peripheral things come and go.

- You can only hold one conscious thought in your head at any one time. Make it a positive one.

- Thinking about problematic life situations gives them energy. When your mind goes to a situation that brings you down, lowers your energy, it is important to remember that you don’t have to think about it. Doing so only fuels it, gives it energy and strength and lets it grow, so that it will continue to take over more and more of your thoughts.

-Being aware of what you are thinking about lets you catch these thoughts quickly when they come to you and allow you to extinguish them right away.

-Then when time has past, time does heal all wounds, you can look at it again more clearly and decide if this situation is one you want to let go of, change or keep – perhaps even only temporarily. ..& if so, then it is best to live with it in awareness. It is in fact a decision you made – this makes it easier to let it go & not dwell on it.. it being a conscious decision you made. This gives you control of your life, then you can let it go & get on with the rest of your life.

Vonneguts Zen Sun

Twice today I heard Cats Cradle come up in conversations. The 2nd time was in a used bookstore on Kingston rd – The Great Escape – where I was looking to help my son pick out a book for a book report. Then I saw Cats Cradle by Vonnegut. I remember this book of Vonnegut’s over the rest of his that I had read .. I had thought of it before for him, so I bought it.. Hope he likes it.

Meditation class – its Zen meditation practice – silent meditation. We usually sit in a circle and meditate for about 20 min together and then discuss various related things after. I was distracted today and looking too closely for an insight- that’s when they rarely come, been too much in my ego, in the future – ahead of the dragon. You are more in your ego when thinking of the past or future. I need to get out of worries and reflections, get back into the present – ride the dragon – be in my natural self.

I love John’s analogies – he likened organized religions, or rather our interest in their methodology, in their ceremonies, the rites and rules to looking at a hand pointing to the sun. ..and being more interested in and looking at the hand, instead of the thing it is pointing to – the Sun.

The Dreamway

I believe the world can be a beautiful place all of the time – and eventually it will be. To some it already is.. I’m getting close.

The Dreamway <--- This is a link to a page that used to be on Robert Genn’s painters keys website. I had saved it & thankfully still have it.. almost everything got wiped off my computer recently. This is a great read.. I love it!

4/8/06 Tuning in to Health You just need to tune in to it! Some people have it and don't know they have it. Because they have never known anything different. Its like living in southern California. You don't even notice sunny days because they are always there. But if you have ever experienced not being in perfect health, then you have been given the gift of being able to appreciate health! And if you are in perfect health and always have been then you can still cultivate an appreciation and love for it. Just look at all the people who aren't in perfect health. A trip to Vons is a good place to find some. Now you can be truly grateful. Appreciation leads to gratitude leads to excitement leads to living fully leads to increased health leads to more appreciation and continuing this positive spiral journey.
